2020 | Archive, expanded letter, performance
So many years will be spent searching, studying, classifying, before my life is secured, carefully arranged and labeled in a safe place -secure against theft, fire and nuclear war- from whence it will be possible to take it out and assemble it at any point. Then, being thus assured of never dying, I may finally rest.

"Closure" is the inscription of my story, the three pieces that compose it -Atlas, a Letter and Declaration- are forms of the memories that are accumulated, stored and recovered. Events and experiences always leave a residual mark on their occurrence - papers, notes, music, films, photographs, injury.
These objects act as mnemonic devices, that when placed together constitute a personal archive. In this case, the role of the artist is that of a collector and archaeologist of her own narrative.
The drive behind all of this is the fight against oblivion, an urge to preserve the remnants of life beyond ...
